Staff are generally good, yet could be more cordial/pleasant to those waiting for bar service (ie. "I'll be with you in a minute"). One particular thing that does let this pub down is the tacky statue of a chained bear out the front. Would be nice to see these chains removed with an angle grinder. Perhaps a ten minute job? Considering the "cuter" bear references inside the main bar, this link to an unpleasant historical reference which evokes a solemn reminder of days both past and sadly even of days present in other parts of the world today, is incredibly distasteful. Liberate the bear! Even if it is just a statue!October 09, 2016
